Short Bio

Meicy Sitorus (1984), an artist based in Bandung, Indonesia. Her works are a continuation of personal issues, most of which are associated with memory, time, place, and history. She primarily use photography as a work medium and a means of communicating with her surroundings. It also serves as a research and simple mapping tool, which is influenced by her design background. She's also involved in different collaboration projects of video and performance. She is part of Omnikolektif, a Bandung-based contemporary art collective focused on education, knowledge sharing, alternative distribution, and idea exchange. In 2013, she founded the music duo 'Tetangga Pak Gesang' with Arum Dayu.
